That's a lot of traffic but I was slogging away earning a measly couple of thousand hits each day and I soon realized that my earning potential was only $20 or $30 per month and will never earn me a living.
The Aim
I needed to be earning every day if I wanted to make a living on the internet. I needed more traffic so that I could make at least one sale a day. Better still, I needed enough traffic so that I could make several sales a day.

I have just noticed that I have discussed a large number of strategies and techniques in helping you to improve your traffic and search rankings with the objective of increasing sales, but to my surprise, I have not mentioned anything about text links.
Quite frankly I don't believe in any one system. I think you have to do everything and because everything takes a lot of time, I always advocate an automatic or a passive system so that you are freed of the burden to some extent.
The importance of Search Engine Traffic
Anyway, back to text links. We know that search engine rankings is important because not only will your largest source of visitors depend on a high ranking, but also because search engines send you real visitors who are interested in finding you because they want what you have to offer. So the key is to get a high ranking, but getting a high ranking is not so easy.
The Difficulty in Ranking High
Ranking high in search engines depends on a lot of factors and one of the factors and probably the most of important of all the factors is increasing backlinks.
Difficulty of generating Backlinks
Backlinks can be generated through a number of ways including directory submissions, link sharing and link exchange. However although directory submission is one I would definitely suggest, unfortunately there are a large number of directories out there and it takes a heck of long time to submit to them. If you are careful you will also try to find out the page rank and in this case, you could end up with spending much more time than you can afford. The problem is aggravted further because many charge and if they offer a free link it is usually in exchange for a reciprocal link, but what we are looking for is one way back links. Link exchange has the same problem and having too much reciprocal links will simply push you further behind your competitors rather than ranking you high. Link sharing just offers you a large number of irrelevant links that does you no good at all.

It most definitely generate one way links to your site. It does this by placing a number of text links with your keyword phrases to article directories. You can promote multiple keywords and is thus effective for all of your pages and not just the top one. This is extremely important because the only reason you build more than one page is so that you can be found by other pages too. You also get relevant and high quality links so that the search engines consider your pages more important. So ultimately you rank higher on your top page and you also rank higher on your other pages too.
The advantages of text links cannot be ignored. It is a simple, but extremely effective system of ranking you in the search engines. It is not free, but with so much competition, you simply cannot afford to miss out.
