Actually List Joe is not my favourite list - it is one of my most favourite list and I have a few more that I want to discuss.

I have said this before and I can't help saying it again because there is nothing more true about internet marketing. In the next few blogs I want to tell you about some of my favourite list builders, but to be honest they are all great so please do not limit yourself.

It amazes me how few people grasp the Importance

The big boys have their own list building programs, but they have the money to back up these programs and they make more money out of them, but for people as small as us, joining those programs is good enough. Even a list as small as 50 is good enough and heck I have made money from a list as small as 14.

Why you need many lists

You might have guessed by now, from the number of times I have mentioned list building that I have many lists. I have many lists because usually posts are limited to one a week and unless I have many lists I can't post every day. The link on the title show you how I

Promoting your List

The title link shows you how I promote several lists at the same time, but the truth is I don't rely on a single method. I promote each list individually as well, but I need to stress how some people just don't take the matter seriously enough.

My promotion is simply by posting ads to Safelists, Yahoo and Google Groups, Other Lists, Blogs, Classified Ads, Forums, traffic exchanges, banner and text exchanges- anything and everything - that's all there is to it. You will see that some people will join. For me it adds up to approximately 3 a day for a month or so and then it seems to fizzle out.

Joining a List builder without Recruiting

Most people join a list and then sit back. What is the use of this? This only means that they agree to receive a load of mails, but have no where to sell to. My lists are admittedly small, but I have noticed that in most cases I recruit more people than my entire downline put together. I make money from my lists but the it is sad to see that some of my downline (but not all) are not getting anywhere.

List Building is Duplicable

Well the fact is listbuilding is duplicable. I have time and again tried to explain this to my list but I cannot understand why some do not try. I have explained to them that all they need to do is to set up a promotion exactly the same as where they joined. I have explained that they can modify my ads and make them better and in this case they are likely to do better. some try and others don't. Those that build lists inevitably make money and those that don't make nothing.

Building a List with Family Members and Friends

Absolutely ridiculous I say. Can you sell to your granny? You should be buying her gifts from your earnings instead. Rather if you can sell to your granny, then you can sell to anyone, so why not try.

There's nothing mysterious about posting ads. Some people will respond and then you can start work.

Making Your List Responsive

Your list is essentially people you don't know. They don't know you and you need them to follow you everywhere you go.

Some people destroy the potential of their list by trying to sell from the very outset. It doesn't work!

Rather what you need to do is to introduce yourself. show them that you an ordinary guy or gal but that you know a thing or two. Tell them what your objectives are and why the list combined should work together and how each member of the list can profit. Explain to them why a of people is more powerful. Tell them what you did to build your list and ask them to build too.

It takes time, but once your list is ready, you can start selling to them, but I usually find that free programs at first works best of all. Believe it or not, many of them will follow. Some will never follow because they are just expecting money on a plate without having to work for it. I must confess that I have tried to make my complete responsive, but have never succeeded. Maybe I have not explained enough that list building is duplicable and that it is worth building.

Keeping your list responsive

Some people are content with getting people on their list to follow them onto one program after another. I am not. I want my list to earn so that I can earn too. So I always make a point of continuing the same program and explaining how some are benefiting and what others can do to get the same benefit from the programs I promote. Success like list building is duplicable too and if you can help others duplicate what you are doing, you will be more successful and they will be successful too.

I needed to be earning every day if I wanted to make a living on the internet. I needed more traffic so that I could make at least one sale a day. Better still, I needed enough traffic so that I could make several sales a day.

Step 1 - Join a Page Rotator

The very first thing you should do is join a rotator. Rotators are a great way to promote a number of products. It does this by rotating a number of urls with the time and importance you give them.

There are a number of rotators out there, but I think you should join trackthatad because it focuses on growth. You will find out why this is such a good rotator after you join and see how it helps you grow.

At this point even if you are involved in promoting only a single program or even no program at all, you should still join trackthatad. If you do not like trackthatad for any reason (I don't see why you shouldn't) you might like to join another rotator such as pageswirl or ebizrotator.

Most traffic exchanges expect you to activate your accounts. Once you have done that, you will receive information about your surf links and referral links.

The next important thing to do is to add your rotator link that you formed with the rotator.

With so many things to do to get quality traffic, it is no surprise that most people forget the basics.

Directory submission is the key to strengthening your google page rank and search engine ranking, and that is a fact, but most people tend to forget it.

The fact remains that search engines account for more than 80% of the traffic to websites and these are targeted traffic that wants what you have to offer. So the key is to get to the top of the search engines and there is no buts about it.

However there is are many problems with directory submission and I don't know if you know it, so I am going to tell you.

The first is that it is extremely consuming and as such most of us are faced with a dilemma - should we spend so much time submitting to directories or should we spend the little we have managing our businesses. It is very difficult dilemma to face because obviously we must manage our businesses else we make no money, but if we do not promote our sites, we do not get business at the first place.

The second problem is caused by a solution of the first. What I mean by this is that there are many directory submission software out there and I have used them so I know how much of a problem they are. What I mean to say is that some directory submission software is filled with directories that have no page rank at all. They could even be banned - who knows? But the reality is if you submit to a directory with no page rank it doesn't really help your website to increase it's page rank. So what is the point.

There are other problems too. Many good directories charge fees and if you don't pay they ask for reciprocal links. If you have a small budget you are forced to take the latter and the result is that the search engines measure your site less than others.

So what is really needed is a directory submission service that is first automatic, but one that also offers quality links and one that doesn't ask for reciprocal links, at least in most cases.

I know this sounds a bit off topic, but really it is not. the topic is about getting traffic to your site and I assure you that I do not want to deviate from it, but having said this, it is important to realize that you want to get people to your site to earn more money. This is the objective. Getting traffic is the key to reaching this objective.

Well I have come across many sites that offer opportunities that offer tens of thousands of dollars in rewards, but which most of time turn out to be nothing more than a waste of time, but this is not to say that people are not making money; but oh they are are and they are and some are making more than we can dream of.

We tend to call people who are making lots of money on the internet gurus and if they are successful people who know a thing or two, I do not see anything wrong with that. But have you ever wondered what makes the gurus so successful? and I mean extremely successful.

We are often taught SEO to get more traffic, but these take time and a lot of hard work that none of us really have time to do. surely the guru cannot be doing everything every day, without fail and like clockwork How is it possible?

It is impossible really. You cannot do everything all the time else you will have no time to concentrate on your business. So although I am all for SEO, my suggestion this time is forget all you have been taught and what you might be taught! No one can do everything all the time not even the gurus.

This new focus puts an emphasis on quality and freshness of content to help sites gain higher ranking position. In essence, latent semantic indexing is meant to give a searcher the best possible site to meet their needs based on relevant keywords and comprehensive coverage and not just incoming links.

This system basically presents a more fair way to give search engine users the pages they really want. It does what Google has always tried to do – provide higher quality, more relevant results.

The old days of Google putting 80 percent of its emphasis on incoming links and 20 percent on the actual site itself are coming to an end. Incoming links will always have relevance, especially in regard to breaking search "ties," but they may not carry the same weight as before. This can make it a bit easier for those who work on their sites with an emphasis on quality to see real results.

What all of this means to web publishers is that those who have done and continue to do their jobs correctly will have a better chance of shining with latent semantic indexing. Those who keyword stuff, create nonsensical content and spend a lot of time using link farms likely will not.

The key to getting ahead in the new age of Google search falls on quality. Sites that provide useful and relevant information in regard to their content will be likely to do better on searches. Those that cut corners could find themselves at the bottom of the search totem pole.
