Introduction

Though I have not gone into how to gain full advantage of traffic exchanges, I will end this series with a twist that I think you will like very much and which I hope will prove to you that traffic exchanges are not at all a waste of time as some people might think. What can you do if you had all the traffic you needed?

Imagine if you had all the traffic you needed and you could promote all the sites you wanted. Imagine if you promoted hundreds of programs and you had traffic to all your sites. Surely you would get sales now and again. You will literally be earning thousands of dollars a day.

I managed to get a couple of thousand hits per day and watched as I got no results. Then one day after a very long time I made a small sale that earned me $37. Someone, somewhere, had purchased a program I was promoting, which may I add, I was promoting for free. The prospect delighted me, but I had to wait a couple of months more before I earned another $29. Although I had managed to make some sales, the system was simply not working well enough.

The problem

I wasn't getting enough traffic. I soon realized that it takes maybe fifty to a hundred thousand hits to make a sale. That's a lot of traffic but I was slogging away earning a measly couple of thousand hits each day and I soon realized that my earning potential was only $20 or $30 per month and will never earn me a living.

The Aim

I needed to be earning every day if I wanted to make a living on the internet. I needed more traffic so that I could make at least one sale a day. Better still, I needed enough traffic so that I could make several sales a day.

Step 1 - Join a Page Rotator

The very first thing you should do is join a rotator. Rotators are a great way to promote a number of products. It does this by rotating a number of urls with the time and importance you give them.

There are a number of rotators out there, but I think you should join trackthatad because it focuses on growth. You will find out why this is such a good rotator after you join and see how it helps you grow.

At this point even if you are involved in promoting only a single program or even no program at all, you should still join trackthatad. If you do not like trackthatad for any reason (I don't see why you shouldn't) you might like to join another rotator such as pageswirl or ebizrotator.

Once you have joined a page rotator simply add your affiliate url to the rotator after you have logged in. trackthatad asks you for the ids of other programs that you might have joined because you will be promoting them, as well, to reach your goals of unlimited hits .

Step 2 - Join Traffic Exchanges

There are a large number of traffic exchanges out there. Although the largest number are free programs, basically nothing is really free and in this case, it means if you have to fulfill your part of the bargain and that is surf. I have selected a few, but you can choose others if you like.

Step 3 - Add your Rotator Url

Most traffic exchanges expect you to activate your accounts. Once you have done that, you will receive information about your surf links and referral links.

The next important thing to do is to add your rotator link that you formed with the rotator.

After that surf and get traffic to your sites.


Step 4 - Increase Traffic

You can increase traffic by recruiting others, but this is not a topic that I wish to go into for the moment. Later I want to go into the true benefit of traffic exchanges, but before that I want to really go onto how to generate enormous numbers of hits without recruiting.
